Library!

Tampines Library is soooo DUH. You have to pay up more than just patience and frustration just to get your poor little butty a seat. And even more to earn your little laptop battery wire a small power socket hidden in a corner.

Sengkang library: No proper seats whatsover, just benches. But plenty of power sockets in air-sufficient and lighted areas. And no overpopulation of muggers on weekends. Wonderful. :: Smack lips ::

So here we are!

Just shared a half chicken in black pepper sauce at the cafe in the library with sis. Yummy. That girl spent a hard time trying to let the chicken die in 'piece' but still ended up making a mess in the plate. Really very scared the wing will just fly off towards me or something. Must bring her to more restaurants the next time. (If we happen to go out together again.)

Ahh... It's a wonderful feeling sitting here without kids running around screaming for their mummies and dropping books all over the place during the public airing of their shrilly voices between dwarfy bookshelves. This is so unlike that place over in the east. (Although the internet speed isn't impressively efficient and I have to sit on the carpeted floor, this is labelled 100% comfort as compared to THAT library.) And ya, it isn't freezing cold over here... plus I can always hop over to the cafe to get myself a brownie with ice-cream when I'm hungry. The only thing on the down side about the library@sk is the limited number of titles, and they have got plenty of walking space to make up for that as an excuse.

Shall continue eating up my translation tutorials! (I seriously think that my laptop battery is in acute condition. Because its life can last less than half an hour when it should be 6 full hours! -_-" I regret not caring enough for it for the whole of the past year.)

Shall stay here, enjoy air-con and company of meimei, and start doing my revision before starting on my 5000-word report due 4 days later. Ya, and away from the noise of quarrels and unfriendly fengshui at home. It's a wonder how a few km can make such a huge difference.
